Is your facility inspected by the government?

Yes, we are proud to be a provincially licensed abattoir. Only about 1 in 10 abattoirs in Saskatchewan are part of the Domestic Meat Inspection Program, which requires in-depth regular inspections aimed at ensuring humane treatment of animals and safe meat for human consumption.

Our license number is SK10.

Can you help process my cattle or wild game?
Yes. Because we are a provincially inspected abattoir, we are able to help with custom orders, from your own cattle to your wild game hunts. Please contact us to set up an appointment.
How are your bison fed?

Our bison are pasture-raised, meaning they are fed on grass.

Do you use antibiotics on your chickens?

No, we do not. Our chickens receive diets we mill ourselves utilizing the many grains we grow. These diets are all vegetable and do not contain any medications. The chickens do not receive any medications in the water, feed or at the hatchery for their entire life.

We work with a team of nutritionists and poultry veterinarians to ensure optimal bird health. We care for the birds daily and catch them ourselves to ensure the highest standard of bird welfare.

Are you a gluten-free facility?
Most of our products do not contain gluten, however we do make some items that contain gluten (products with gluten have a note in their descriptions). While we make every effort to avoid it, our other products may contain trace amounts of gluten due to the shared nature of our facility.

Payment Process - What is the payment process for products priced by weight?

As meat products are priced by weight, order totals will be adjusted to reflect the actual weight of the meat once the order is packed. This will result in your order either being a bit less or a bit more than when originally placed. You'll receive email after you place your order, and another email once your order is packed and credit card is charged. We now also have e-transfer payment available.

*This process allows us to pack your order and send you the proper total once it's packed, which is helpful when items are priced by weight.
